Bich Dong Pagoda (Tam Cốc Bích động) is a three-tiered ancient pagoda nestled into a mountainside in Tam Coc, northern Vietnam.
The cluster of cave temples is surrounded by a bed of water and impressive water lilies that will have you in awe when you arrive.

Itinerary
07:30 - 08:00: Our tourist bus will pick you up at your hotel lobby in Ha Noi old Quarter, or at our Hanoi Travel Office for the tour pick-up and departure to Hoa Lu.
10:30 - 10:40: Arrive Hoa Lu ancient capital of Viet Nam. You will visit Dinh King temple and Le King temple in the 10th centery, finding out the heroic histories of this two king in Chinese Wars.
11:50 - 12:00: Having a buffet lunch with Vietnamese cuisine.
13:10 - 13:15: Get on the tourist bus continue going to visit Tam Coc wharf for taking the sampan go along the Ngo Dong river to visit Tam Coc (three different caves).
15:30: An hour Cyclying through paddy area to Visit Ninh Binh Countryside and Visit Bich Dong Pagoda is located in the complex of Trang An Heritage, dubbed as “Nam Thien second cave – located on Ngu Nhac Son mountain range, in Ninh Hai commune, Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province. The pagoda was built in the style of “three” in Han scripts, consisting of three unconnected buildings, based on the mountain position from low to high forming three separate temples, hidden under the green canopy of ancient trees surrounded by stone.
16:30 - 16:35: Get on our tourist bus to return Ha Noi.
19:00 - 19:30: Arrive Ha Noi, drop off at your hotel in Ha Noi Old Quarter. The Tour finish!

I booked a half day city tour by scooter - it was raining a little so there were no other bookings - I was lucky enough to end up having a private tour with Rosie. Lucky for me the rain stopped and we had a great few hours. Best way to see Hanoi! Rosie is super-knowledgeable and shared loads of insights about the sites we visited and the local culture - and she has some mad motorbike skills! We stopped for traditional coffee and a local lunch, and packed all the important sites into 4 hours.
The whole process was great - I booked at the last minute via email and the staff were really accommodating and had grreat communication. Rosie picked me up at my accommodation a little way out of the city centre, and stopped along the way to get me a raincoat. Felt 100% safe on the scooter. Highly recommend!
